Day 1: 19.9.2019 THURSDAY
The first site that we visited once we reached Penang was : SEKEPING VICTORIA. It located at 164A-B, Lebuh Victoria, George Town . 2 minute walk from our hotel(Container Hotel). Sekeping Victoria is a clever architectural design simply highlights and complements the effortless rustic charm exuding from within the interior of the old building.

Inside the Sekeping Victoria there's a cafe call awesome canteen. Stepping in the cafe, we are trilled with their quaint interior. The spaced is filled with re-purposed industrial made chairs, metal tables and chairs like canteen, with skinny trees interval in between.

THINGS THAT I HAD OBSERVE: This cafe main design is using concrete and natural element, tree, to make the space become more interactive and interesting. I also noticed that the cafe got many rottan furniture and some recyclable items.
After finished visit the Sekeping Victoria, I went to the next cafe which is very famous : CHINA HOUSE. It located at 153, Beach St, Georgetown, 10300 George Town, Penang, just next to Sekeping Victoria. This cafe is interesting because of the actual space itself. Occupying three heritage houses, it’s a long narrow space measuring just 25 ft wide but 400 ft long. It’s so long in fact, that it has two entrances — one on Beach Street and another on adjacent Victoria Street.

After done visiting the cafe, My friends and I went to Kapitan for our dinner to try their Milani+Garlic Cheese Naan dishes which is can't get it in KL. It's so delicious!

Day 2: 20.9.2019 FRIDAY
For this day, our lecturer already arrange a small walkabout tour - Penang Heritage Trail (PHT) Cultural Heritage Walks, conduct by a licenced tour guide. We gather at the St. George's Church around 9.30am. Our tour guide is Uncle David.

After visit all the temple and the art&culture street, we went to the Chew Jetty. There's many forgotten culture element that i had noticed.

After all the walkabout tour the final statement that i choose for the Project 2 (Forgotten Culture) is the Chinese Paper Cutting art. The behind of the Paper cuttings story is represent the wishes and hopes. In ancient times, limited territory, restricted culture together with the occurrence of natural disasters made people desire for a happier living. Wishes for wealth, health and longevity are conveyed through paper cuttings.
Day 3 : 21.9.2019 MONDAY
We check out hotel around 11.30am, After that arrived Taylor University at 5pm.
In this trip, i had experience & understand the Penang culture & history, from mouth-watering street food to artistic murals. It was a great experience because you can walk around and search for the forgotten culture statement which i had choose for my Project 2- Chinese Paper Cutting art.
